Does the calculator include the end date?

No. The result is the number of days from the start date up to but not including the end date. This matches the standard convention for deadlines and durations.

What if the end date is earlier than the start date?

The calculator automatically swaps them, so you always get a positive result. The order of input does not matter.

How are leap years handled?

Each year is evaluated based on the actual calendar, so February 29 is counted correctly. The month-and-day breakdown respects month lengths automatically.

How do I count business days only?

This calculator counts calendar days, including weekends and holidays. For business days, take the total, divide by 7, multiply by 5, then adjust for the remaining days — or use a dedicated working-days calculator.

What is the difference between inclusive and exclusive counting?

Inclusive counting includes both the start and end date. Exclusive excludes one of them. For a project running Monday to Friday, inclusive gives 5 days, exclusive gives 4. This calculator uses the exclusive convention, which matches deadlines and loan durations.
